Missing Miracles
Within the mythologies I grew up listening to, miracles were commonplace. But why aren't they now?
Growing up, I was fascinated with mythical stories about gods and heroes. They summoned forces of nature at will, went invisible, flew etc. Why aren't we able to do all that now?
Or are we taking miracles for granted?
Bring back a person from the 500s or 1500s to the present. They will see miracles at every step of the way.
Running water, water heaters, cars, phones, computers, video calls, everything would be nothing less than a miracle for them. The world we live in now would have been a fantasy wonderland for them back in their time.
We glance over these. We say that the world is out of miracles.
Look again, we are wrong.
